The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (“fan edition”) is a phone that feels out of time and place. Many expected the device to debut months and months ago. Now, in January 2022, it finally arrives bearing last year’s name, last year’s specs, and last year’s design, leaving it slightly out of step with Samsung’s lineup. We’ve already seen a little from LG Display pre-CES 2022. However, the company has now unveiled a bunch more concept products that make use of its cutting-edge OLED display technology.

In addition to its recent Media Chair and Virtual Ride concepts based on flexible OLED, LG Display’s latest concepts use transparent OLED to create new use cases. For example, the company envisions the technology used in shopping installations and store windows. Acer unveiled three new Chromebooks at CES 2022, refreshing its existing mid-range and premium portfolio with the latest chips from Intel and Mediatek. Notably, the most powerful model of the trio is powered by Mediatek’s Kompanio 1380 processor.

While we’ve seen several Chromebooks feature Mediatek processors so far, they’ve all traded performance for a lower price point — typically targeting the sub-$400 market.
